Expanding vocabulary is necessary for communication and understanding. But what are some useful ways to achieve that? First, reading is a fantastic way to improve our vocabulary. This is possible by reading books, newspapers and checking the meaning of unfamiliar words in a dictionary. In this way, learners can understand the text better and remember the new words for future use. The second important technique to improve vocabulary is watching English movies. By doing this, learners can practice both listening and speaking skills. Third, they can write down unknown words they face for the first time in their notebook and look them up later. Lastly, to make learning vocabulary more effective, learners can use labeling as a strategy to name objects around their house. By writing the names of objects on small pieces of paper and sticking the notes to things such as a desk, window or fridge, learners can see words around them again and again. در این نوع سؤال متن را «اسکن» می‌کنیم؛ یعنی دنبال همان واژه‌های هر مورد در متن می‌گردیم و جواب را از جملهٔ همان‌جا برمی‌داریم.
۴۶) «expand» یعنی گسترش دادن، بیشتر کردن. متن با «Expanding vocabulary» (گسترش دادن دایرهٔ واژگان) شروع می‌شود و کمی بعد همین را با فعل دیگری می‌گوید: «reading is a fantastic way to improve our vocabulary» (خواندن راه فوق‌العاده‌ای برای تقویت واژگان ماست). در این متن «improve» (بهتر کردن، تقویت کردن) هم‌معنی «expand» به کار رفته است؛ پس جواب improve است.
۴۷) متن راه‌ها را با کلمه‌های ترتیبی می‌شمارد: «First» (خواندن)، «The second important technique» (دیدن فیلم انگلیسی)، «Third» (نوشتن واژه‌های ناآشنا در دفتر) و «Lastly» (برچسب زدن). پس 4 (four) راه آمده است.
۴۸) «many times» یعنی بارها. در جملهٔ آخرِ توضیح برچسب‌زدن آمده: «learners can see words around them again and again» یعنی «زبان‌آموزان واژه‌ها را دور و بر خود بارها و بارها می‌بینند.» پس جواب again and again است.
